ok i want to make a golf ball barrle for my spud gun is there any pipe that has the right ID. and i was wondering if any one has tryed puting hop up on a golf ball barrle hop up is where there is a little ruber piece at the top of the barrle and it puts a back spin on the ball wich makes the presher on the top of the ball lower and makes it rise. if you could do this to a golf ball barrle you could make it go 1\3rd. air soft uses this idea to make the bbs shoot a lot farthere.

ok, the there's a pipe type called sdr-21, it can be found at irrigation stores and the like, you would sleeve the sdr pipe inside of 2in sch 40 or 80 pipe to strengthen it.
you could also cut a sizeable section out of the length of a 2in abs or pvc and force sleeve it into another 2in pipe.
hope that helps you.

sch40 is just as safe as sch80... but cheaper..... i use sch4o pipe, and i am nowhere near afraid that it will blow up on me... i shoot golfballs with my 2" sch40 barrel, i just use wadding... cut apart old socks or washcloths and use them, they are reusable and they dont involve fitting one pipe into another.....

The thing about sch40 and sch80 is that the inner diameters are different. I was told that it fits into sch80 perfectly. Sch40 has a larger inner diameter, so the fit will be looser, though it could still work.
Also if anyone knows where to order these from I would appreciate if they told me. I haven't been able to find sdr21 around my house and am having trouble finding it online. There was someone who posted here and said he sells them and all you need to do is email him telling the length and you can use paypal to pay for it. But he hasn't emailed me back at all.

that sounds a little difficult, what do you do, cut a chunk out of it longways?

that gives me some ideas, what if you twisted the pipe as it went in? like cut a slightly larger gap than normal and twist it so that it makes rifleing. it would be a huge challenge to get the pipe in but i think it could be done in a long barrel. the ends might need to be glued

Eh, no, but if you make the cut spiraled around the pipe it may work. I like this method but I would rather go with sdr-21 because of the no hassle perfect fit and no gap. Do sch80 fit into sch40 fittings?

i do belive so because the only thing that sch80 changes is the wal thicness, i belive it makes the internal area smaller

or, cut the 1.5" pipe in many peices and glue them to the sch80 wall. make as many grooves as u like w/o changing the id.

Uhh, well, nah. I'd rather not. I don't like having to resort to the second choice. I like things clean and perfect for these projects. And I found out, yes, 40 and 80 have the same outer diameter.
