I believe caulk tubes are just barely too big for 2".

nope, i just tried fitting one in a 2" sch40 pvc pipe, near perfect fit. it's the avrage size tube iv found but i do have some that are bigger. i don't have a 2" barrel for any of my guns or i would try fireing some. i think it may make an interesting round if the piece that slid in the tube to push the calk out was weighted and the tube was filled with flour or somthing. the weighted pushy thing(technical term of course) would compress the flour when it hit somthing hard and make it explode into a cloud of dust

Oh my god you're right! Do you know how easy it is for me to get my hands on these?! Man these can be dangerous if you do it right! Hehe... Oh, and about the flour... the pushy thing would get pushed by the expansion of the gas in the gun and cause some to come out. As for the inertia of the plunger when it hits a target.. Its too light to cause much to come out unless you put a large weight on it which would also make it harder for any to leak out while it's still in the gun.

Yeah, I dunno, possibly. I'll try some things with them and get back to you.
