hey ho i was just wondering how long a wax slug would last if it was just being fired over grass for distance shooting not into any sort of target.

Trust Me I Think "just Opinion" That a Ice Slug Would Be alot More Simpler And Would shoot about the same distance Just a thought though..

Well wax is a lot easier to reuse than ice. There are 2 ways you can figure out how reusable they are though. Mathematically: Find the breaking point of the wax you will be using and calculate the force needed to break that shape you have, find out the speed of the projectile and remember to take air resistance into account then find out its vertical speed due to gravity and use the Pythagorean theorem to find its total velocity and multiply by mass and compare that to the breaking force you found earlier... OR.. just test it out and see. (I strongly suggest the latter.)
