haha, i just finnished making everything but for the spring and trigger assembly. with just a small amount of hand pressure on the plug i shot a sharpie at my wall hard enough to crack it, i can't wait to see what it will do with a spring, now im getting realy interested at the potential it might have

Well it's always cool to have pictures of progress. And you can post some on a geocities page and then put a link on this site.

ok here's a link to some pics of it, it also has my big cannon and a cheap little ballvalve cannon i made for da heck of it: www.geocities.com/nighthawkinlight/spudgun_n_stuff_pics.htmli decided to try using pulling springs instead of a compressing spring because i couldn't find one at home depot. im using 2 door springs that have about a 25-30 lb pull each on either side of the plunger. right now what im trying to figure out is how to attach the springs to the bolt on the end. you can see it in the bottom pic, it's the heavy bolt with the plastic on the end. any ideas?

Uhhh, oh boy this is gunna be a fun project... Well to get this figured out I think I will need some close ups on the parts you have available. Also, some different angles would be good. What is the whole thing generally supposed to look like?

yeah i thought it would be confusing with the limeted pics. the whole thing will be the calk tube inbetween two springs, the plunger is attached to the end or a large bolt will be attached somhow to the springs. it is allready all basicly set up but for the trigger apperatus.
if i can't get the external springs to work, i have it set up in a way that i can take it all apart and put in a large internal spring. but i think i can get the external to work.

Mkay, don't give up on this. It seems to be getting somewhere. And don't take chances with shoddy joints and such. Make sure you spend the time on this and make it extremely durable. Remember that you also need to take care of what happens after you pull the trigger. Find out what kind of shock the mechanism will encounter when that bolt flings forward. Put some more close-ups on the site and set it up so you can click to enlarge the pictures. Set a new page for each photo and set it so the picture is a link to the enlargement page. This way I can see what you have better.

ok ill get the pics set up better. i had thought of the shock from the gunn allready. i have it set up so that when it fires the plunger will stop aboun a half inch from the front of the chamber, that will make it so that there is alot less shock and strain on the calk tube when it is fired.

This whole thing looks very... iffy... I strongly suggest making your chamber out of PVC instead of the caulk tube. It will prove much more reliable. It will also be easier to mount itself and other things onto the gun.
