Ok, so I'm making a new gun with interchangeable barrels. Chamber length is 14" with 4" diameter (176 cubic inches/ 2880cc). For propane the C:B tends to be .6:1. For a sch 1.5 barrel it seems that the best length should be 147" which makes the whole gun 13.5 feet long... That seems to be kinda...long... Is this sounding right to you guys? The Golf Ball barrel is going to have to be 129" which makes the gun 12 feet... Umm yeah. The 2" looks like its gunna be 89" (total gun length: 8.7 feet) and the 2.5 will be 62" (total: 6.5 feet) Yeah... Can someone double check all this?

It sounds right to me.... I have a gun with a 4"x18" chamber with a 2" barrel and its suppsed to be like 80" or something like that. And thats at a .8:1 ratio. So its probobly right but not very elegant, ya know? I would just make it to a length you like that is fairly close to the required length for a .6:1 ratio. P.S. Sorry for my last post in the "new ignition" topic It came off kinda rude. I didn't mean for it to come out like that.... So again, I'm sorry.

Nah, it's cool. I know I have my moments where I sound like a jerk. And the reason I'm posting about this topic is to find out what that happy medium is. I mean, what's the length you guys think I should settle for? Not too long, not too short and all...
