Seven-barrelled cannon « Result #3 on May 28, 2006, 10:22am »
Cannons with only one barrel are a bit old hat aren't they? I prefer a few more, say... seven. This beast has a 100mm chamber and seven 17mm barrels. I usually shoot darts that I make with paper, sticky tape, wax and nails. It can put a nail through three sheets of corrugated iron.
That last photo is a test shot at an old ammo box made from 17mm plywood. The nails in the darts are all the way into the wood, stopped only by the nail heads. You can see six of the darts, the other having broken off its nail.

Re: check valve « Result #4 on Mar 8, 2006, 12:51pm »
You know that's really weird that you ask that because I just posted last night (I guess it would be this morning actually) on Spudtech how to make the concealed check valve assembly I use on my "Proton Pack" or "CBPL". That launcher can be seen here: http://forums.spudtech.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12544
This check valve assembly is much better than Boogie's for reasons you can read about on my post. Everything should be explained here: http://forums.spudtech.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12690 You need to sign up for an account but it is free and easy. Spudtech is the best spudgun forum worldwide. I was reluctant to transfer to it but I'm glad I did.
Ok. I know boogieman hasn't been on for a while, and neither have I, but hopefully someone else might be of some help. I'm a little confused about how the check valve is built. Can anyone tell me exactly how it's assembled? The pictures on this site aren't really helpful. Maybe a cross section?

Re: coaxial piston valve hybrid « Result #8 on Jan 19, 2006, 7:55pm »
Well,I just thought of the exact same idea a couple days ago, and then found it had already been worked with on spudtech forums. Look especially in the archives there. I only know of one or two guns of this sort to have been built, many people are skeptical of a valved hybrid, saying it won't be as powerful. Poohy! It'll be plenty powerful.
